Casa Norinha ("House of the Well") is a detached, secluded villa set in an acre of landscaped gardens and surrounded by orange, fig and olive groves. It is completely private, not overlooked and enjoys far-reaching views across the Algarve countryside. With three comfortable bedrooms, sleeping six, the villa is ideal for a family or group of friends. All bedrooms and the living room have their own terraces which lead directly to a Roman-style swimming pool surrounded by marble paving. Leading off the pool terrace is a large, lawned garden with palm trees. The villa features a spacious living room with dining area, fully fitted kitchen, outdoor dining terrace and a roof terrace for secluded sunbathing and stunning sunsets.
There are many lovely walks in the area and a 12th century Moorish castle nearby, which is the subject of an ongoing archaeological dig. In Spring, the surrounding stone-walled pastures are a riot of wild flowers and blossom while, in Autumn and Winter, the trees are vibrantly colourful with citrus fruits. Casa Norinha is located right in the centre of the Algarve, less than 12km from the coast and with easy access to all the region's well-known attractions, as well as its hidden treasures...
Casa Norinha is a family run private villa - the land on which it stands was bought by the Outhwaites in 1981 and the villa was built between 1991 and 1993. A great deal of the construction work was done by Michael Outhwaite and family friend Agostinho Pereira, who lives in Paderne and now maintains the property with his wife, Isabel. Agostinho and Isabel speak good English and always give our guests a warm and friendly welcome.
